As part of their national tour, Teatro Luna, returns to Dallas from Chicago for a one-night-only performance of their new devised performance, Generation Sex. The all female Latina theater troupe creates one-of-a-kind works that explore issues relating to Latinas in the United States.
In Generation Sex, Teatro Luna bares all without blushing as they explore how technology has transformed sex, love, and our relationships. With the new rules of feminism now reduced to 140 characters or less, the Lunáticas dissect the tragically outdated ideas of femininity women are still forced to perform, tackling questions like: What is the art of seduction in a digital world that leaves little to the imagination? Can we Instagram loneliness? Is it possible to resist our avatars and be our true selves online? Has Facebook flipped how we define family? From sexting to Skype to the dark side streets of cyberspace, the Ladies of Luna explode how hollow soundbytes and played out listicles shape today's quest for love and satisfaction, with a touch warmer than your welcome screen.
